Riverbend Forest is a development in East Asheville. The community will be woven into the natural landscape so that it complements what makes the area so special: the woods, water, and views. The development will allow the placement of homes along the ridge at the road and keep the downhill slopes in a forested conservation easement. The conservation easement allows residents to enjoy a large homesite but with the protection and certainty the outer edge of the community will remain forested, preserving the overall beauty of the land, yet allowing for recreational use.
The community offers many amenities including walking trails with benches, community garden, a pavilion with a grill and fireplace, and 7 acres of river frontage. The access to seven acres of the Swannanoa River is one of the most spectacular aspects of the project. The opportunity to use this type of land requires thoughtful and responsible community planning, including facilitating proper use and security to residents.
The amenities offered at Riverbend Forest have been incorporated into the community’s building plan, these lifestyle enhancers aren’t an afterthought, they’re embedded in the community. Think of all of the recreational opportunities you’ll have just outside your front door! To enhance your lifestyle, a rustic wood timber pavilion with a fireplace will serve as a gathering space and centerpiece of the community. The pavilion will be seasonally enclosed for year-round enjoyment for your family and guests. You’ll feel tucked away and secluded enjoying your own slice of mountain paradise without sacrificing any convenience – Riverbend Forest is within fifteen minutes of many popular Asheville destinations.
There are 25 homesites available with lots and lot/home packages available. The lots sit on a ridge above the Swannanoa River and offer mid and long-range views toward the Craggy Mountains. The community is on city water and sewer and is just outside of city limits and will pay county taxes.
